Custom Coffee Bags That Protect Your Roast and Present Your Brand at Its Best

Coffee bag selection is a technical as much as aesthetic decision. Freshly roasted coffee releases significant CO2 that must be managed. Oxygen exposure after degassing degrades flavour rapidly. The ideal coffee bag manages both of these challenges simultaneously while presenting the brand in a way that communicates the quality of the roast inside.

Bespoke Boxes produces specialist coffee bags for Canadian specialty roasters, single-origin coffee brands, subscription coffee services, and national coffee retailers. We produce coffee bags with the technical specifications — valve placement, barrier construction, reseal mechanism — that protect roast quality, combined with print quality that communicates the brand's positioning in a competitive specialty coffee market.

Our coffee bag range covers side gusset coffee bags with degassing valves for whole bean and ground coffee, stand-up flat bottom bags for premium specialty positioning, kraft coffee bags for natural and artisan roasters, and subscription mailer bags for monthly coffee delivery services. Full CMYK printing is available on all formats.

The Degassing Valve Is Not Optional for Fresh Coffee

Freshly roasted coffee releases CO2 for 24 to 72 hours after roasting. Without a degassing valve, this CO2 either builds pressure in a sealed bag or forces roasters to wait days before sealing — both outcomes are commercially unacceptable. A one-way degassing valve allows CO2 to escape while preventing oxygen entry, enabling immediate packaging without quality compromise.

Barrier Performance for Roast Quality

After degassing is complete, oxygen is the primary enemy of roast freshness. High-barrier coffee bag constructions with oxygen transmission rates below 0.1 cc/m²/day maintain roast quality for 6 to 12 months in sealed conditions. For specialty roasters where roast freshness is a core product claim, barrier performance is a non-negotiable specification.

Coffee Bags FAQs

Do your coffee bags come with degassing valves?

Yes. One-way degassing valves are available on all our coffee bag formats and strongly recommended for any roaster packaging fresh coffee. Valves are positioned to allow CO2 escape without allowing oxygen entry.

What size coffee bags are available?

We produce coffee bags in standard retail sizes including 100g, 200g, 250g, 340g, 500g, and 1kg formats. Custom sizes are available for specialty formats or subscription coffee programs with specific fill requirements.

Can I get kraft coffee bags with a window?

Yes. Kraft coffee bags with clear window panels are available for roasters who want to show the bean colour and roast level to customers. Window position and size are customisable as part of the design brief.
